Suzanne Santillan

Suzanne Santillan is the author of Grandma’s Pear Tree/ El Peral de Abuela (Raven Tree Press, 2010), which was awarded a Moonbeam Award Gold Medal. Through her work as a graphic designer, Suzanne has created charts, graphs, and covers for nearly 200 books.

Suzanne loves reading and promoting literacy. In 2011, the San Diego East County Chamber of Commerce Women in Leadership nominated her for a Woman of the Year award. She is the recipient of a 2015 Celebrate Literacy Award from the International Reading Association and The Greater San Diego Reading Association. Suzanne is an active member of the San Diego Chapter of the SCBWI and served has a picture book writing mentor.

In her free time she can be found reading or enjoying time with her family and dog in San Diego. She hates to do laundry.
